Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using the Bus Tracking System application ("the App"), operated by
Doori ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by
these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App provides real-time bus tracking and proximity notifications for schools, colleges,
and other organizations. The service allows:
- Organizations to manage buses, routes, and drivers
- Drivers to share their live GPS location while on shift
- Students/passengers to track buses and receive arrival notifications
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must not share your account with others
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
4. Organization Accounts
Organizations registering on the platform agree that:
- They are authorized to register the organization and its data
- They will inform drivers that their GPS location is tracked while on shift
- They are responsible for managing user access within their organization
- They will pay subscription fees as agreed at the time of registration
- Organization admins are solely responsible for the accuracy of route and stop information provided to the platform
5. Subscription and Payment
Access to the App requires a paid subscription per route, billed annually.
- Pricing is displayed at the time of route creation and is based on the number of subscribers per route
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments (card) or bank transfer
- Routes are activated only after payment is confirmed
- Subscriptions renew annually. We will notify you before renewal
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice
- Outstanding payments may result in route deactivation
6. Account Deletion and Data Retention
When an organization admin deletes a bus, driver account, or route:
- A 7-day recovery window applies before permanent deletion
- The affected driver and all subscribed users are notified by email
- After 7 days, all associated personal data (driver account, subscriber data, route data) is permanently and irreversibly deleted
- Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations, even after account deletion
- Driver GPS location data is deleted immediately when a shift ends — no historical location data is retained
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Submit false or misleading GPS location data
- Overload, attack, or attempt to breach the App's servers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the App
- Register false organizations or user accounts
- Circumvent age verification or parental consent requirements
8. GPS Tracking Consent
By using the driver features of the App, drivers explicitly consent (via a consent screen at registration) to:
- Their real-time GPS location being collected continuously while their shift is active
- Their location being shared with passengers subscribed to their route
- Their name being visible to subscribers within their organization
Location data is not retained after a shift ends. Drivers may end their shift at any time to stop location sharing.
9. Push Notifications
By registering, you consent to receiving push notifications from the App via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
These notifications include bus arrival alerts and account-related updates.
You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings, though this may affect the core functionality of the service.
10. Children and Minors (COPPA)
This App may be used by students, including those under 13 years of age. Users registering on behalf of a child under 13 confirm that they are the parent or legal guardian and provide consent for the child's personal data to be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Organizations are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent is obtained for minor users within their platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
The App is a convenience tool only. We are not responsible for:
- Delays or inaccuracies in GPS location data
- Missed notifications due to device, network, or FCM service issues
- Any harm resulting from reliance on the App for safety-critical decisions
- Bus accidents, delays, route changes, or driver behaviour
- Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our control
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim
shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may suspend the service for maintenance with reasonable notice where possible.
We are not liable for losses arising from service downtime.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Organizations may
be suspended by the platform administrator for non-payment or policy violations.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us — the 7-day deletion window will apply.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
Kathmandu, Nepal.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms. We will notify users of material changes
via the App or email with at least 14 days' notice before changes take effect.
Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
